Don’t Call This Sandwich Basic–The Turkey “Ruby” Sandwich with Honey Mustard & Apple Slaw

It’s a much lighter twist on a grilled Rueben, made with Foster Farms All Natural Honey Roasted and Smoked Turkey. Delicious! #dontcallmebasic

Turkey “Ruby” Sandwich with Honey Mustard and Apple Slaw

Ingredients

Honey Mustard:
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey

Apple Slaw:
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon honey
1 small granny smith apple (or other tart crisp apple), peeled, cored and julienned
1 cup packaged coleslaw (shredded cabbage, carrots)
¼ cup dried cranberries
Pinch of salt

Sandwich Assembly:
4 slices rustic rye bread, toasted
Honey Mustard (see above)
6 slices Foster Farms All Natural Honey Roasted and Smoked Turkey Breast
4 slices muenster cheese
Apple Slaw (see above)

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the Honey Mustard. Set aside (refrigerate if not using right away).

In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, mayonnaise and honey. Add the apple, coleslaw and cranberries. Add a pinch of salt. Toss and set aside (refrigerate if not using right away).

To assemble sandwich, spread one slice of bread with Honey Mustard. Top with 3 slices of Foster Farms All Natural Honey Roasted and Smoked Turkey Breast. Top turkey with 2 slices of muenster cheese and pile on some Apple Slaw. Top with another slice of toasted bread. Repeat to make second sandwich.
